  • It’s time to register for the 2009-2010 Indoor Soccer season!

    Yes, it’s already time to think about indoor soccer! The following information is tentative, but please watch for further information or updates. Thanks!

    Registration dates are Tuesday September 8 and Thursday September 10 at 6:00-9:00 pm at the West Soccer Centre (17415 – 106A Avenue)

    Tentative season start date is October 24. Indoor Soccer NewsIndoor season usually extends to the end of February with a three-week break in December.

    Tentative playing dates for games:
    U6 and U8: Saturday mornings
    U10 Boys & Girls Community: Saturday
    U12 Boys & Girls Community: Saturday
    U14 Boys & Girls Community: Sunday
    U16 Boys & Girls Community: Sunday
    U18 Boys & Girls Community: Sunday

    Tentative practice days have yet to be determined. Minimum one practice per week, with some weeks perhaps having two practices.

    Age groups are determined by birthyear as listed below:
    U6 – 2004
    U7 – 2003
    U8 – 2002
    U9 – 2001
    U10 – 2000
    U11 – 1999
    U12 – 1998
    U13 – 1997
    U14 – 1996
    U15 – 1995
    U16 – 1994
    U17 – 1993
    U18 – 1992

    Fees:
    U6: $160.00 + Rio Soccer Fee (see below)
    U8: $160.00 + Rio Soccer Fee (see below)
    U10: $200.00 + Rio Soccer Fee (see below)
    U12: $210.00 + Rio Soccer Fee (see below)
    U14: $215.00 + Rio Soccer Fee (see below)
    U16: $220.00 + Rio Soccer Fee (see below)
    U18: $230.00 + Rio Soccer Fee (see below)

    The amounts listed above are for the Edmonton Minor Soccer Association (EMSA) fees. The Rio Soccer Fee has yet to be determined, and is charged by the community league to cover extra soccer centre time, tournament registration fess, and a end of year party. There is also a yet to be determined uniform deposit amount, payable by cheque to be returned or destroyed when the uniform is returned at the end of the season.

    Things to bring to the registration:
    • FOUR cheques: EMSA fee, Rio Soccer Fee, Uniform deposit, Rio Community League membership (if required)
    • Alberta Health number of the player
    • Emergency contact information.
